Purchasing Analyst

Provide financial analysis and oversight for company-wide vendors, ensuring best pricing, terms and service.
Manage Guardian warehouse functions; relationship, inventory levels, ordering.
Monitor compliance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for pharmacies and identify areas of focus/opportunity.

Drug Purchasingo Provide financial analysis to maximize buying opportunities while ensuring best use of capital.
o Monitor economic market events/provide analysis to take advantage of buying opportunities.
o Oversee pharmacy purchasing metrics (WAC compliance, missed opportunities, generic compliance, wholesaler compliance, turns, etc.
) and provide analysis and guidance for training objectives.
o Purchasing portal administrator - monitor activity, new account set-ups, recurring reports, ongoing maintenance.
Liaison between vendor and pharmacy end users.
o Manage 3PL functions; ordering, manage inventory levels and drug spend forecast at the 3PL, manage warehouse catalog updates.
o Assist on drug purchasing and reimbursement analytics projects.
o Monitor purchasing dashboard activity and provide analysis for future enhancements.
Train end users.
Wholesaler/Generic Relationshipso Manage wholesaler rebate reconciliation.
o Assess buy-in opportunities, including analysis, direction and communicationo Manage short-dated program, including communication of opportunities to field.
Non-Drug Purchasingo Provide data analysis and prioritize negotiations based on potential savings.
o Communicate contract pricing & procedure updates to end users.
Othero Manage Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) complianceo Assist with quarter end duties as assigned (journal entries, inventory, reconciliations, etc.
)o Provide review of selected A/P payments for reasonableness.
o Travel as needed to support pharmacieso Provide guidance and training to pharmacy start-up managers and explain procedures for purchasing and other business services.
o Assist with special projects as needed.
Education and/or Certifications:
o Bachelor's Degree Required - Finance, Accounting or a related disciplineSkills and
Qualifications:
o 5
years of related experience preferredo Advanced Excel skills requiredo Strong problem-solving and analytical skillso Ability to work to short deadlineso Must have proven experience of pro-actively evaluating processes and systems to recommend more efficiency improvements.
o Must possess a strong working knowledge of MS Office.
o Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
o Ability to work in a team environment required.
o Healthcare experience a plus.
Work Environment:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
