We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Technology to join our start-up consulting firm focused on delivering solutions for the government and emergency-response sector.
As the Director of Technology, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our technology teams, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge solutions to our government clients.
Your focus will be on overseeing and empowering teams across Data, Software Engineering, Infrastructure, and Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure the seamless execution of projects and the continuous growth of our technology capabilities.
Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:
Lead and mentor a diverse group of technology professionals, including data scientists, software engineers, infrastructure specialists, and QA analysts.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging innovation and professional growth within the teams.
Set clear goals, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to drive excellence in team performance.
Technology Strategy:
Collaborate with executive leadership to define the technology vision and align it with the overall business strategy.
Develop and implement technology strategies, ensuring they are aligned with industry best practices and government regulations.
Identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements and innovations to enhance our service offerings.
Project Management and Delivery:
Oversee project execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
Track and monitor project progress, identifying potential risks, and proactively implementing mitigation plans.
Resource Allocation and Task Delegation:
Efficiently allocate resources across technology teams to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with project requirements.
Delegate tasks effectively, balancing workload and responsibilities among team members to achieve project success.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business development, consulting, and operations, to understand client needs and tailor technology solutions accordingly.
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear and actionable insights.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify process enhancements, implement automation, and adopt emerging technologies.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and government regulations related to technology and consulting, ensuring compliance and staying ahead of the competition.
