Position Overview Internships are professional experiences that students participate in to gain professional skills and experiences.
Internships are structured as learning experiences that combine in-class theory with real world applications.
Position is similar to an entry-level position that a student would take upon completing an undergraduate degree.
Students may work in the following functions of the CRH AMAT Corporate IT department:
Application Development.
This is a full-time internship consisting of 40 hours per week, and will be based out of the CRH Americas Materials headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Interns may work in one or more functions of the IT department, but the following is a sample of duties and work assignments interns can expect to work during their internship.
Assist in analyzing and fixing product defects Assist in developing new company portal Assist in fixing any security vulnerability in the product Support team development efforts toward successful project delivery Support in the design, development, and unit testing of applications in accordance with established standards or assist in the creation of documentation, tools, templates, etc.
Analyze and resolve technical problems.
Qualifications Education/Experience Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT/Computer related discipline and should at least be a sophomore Experience with Angular, React, Node.
JS, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap and MySQL Good understanding of C#,.
NET framework Experience with Office 365 SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Work Requirements Must be 18 years in age or older Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required Knowledge/Skill Requirements Ability to consistently drive self and others to achieve results despite obstacles and setbacks.
Must possess strong oral / written communication and listening skills.
Ability to achieve results with a hands-on, collaborative approach; works well in a team.
Proficient in encouraging diverse thinking to promote and nurture innovation.
Demonstrated ability to align career development goals with organizational objectives.

Able to communicate with others by telephone and in person.
Able to utilize a computer for word processing, email communication, and preparation of documents and presentations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
The position may require work outside of normal business hours.
