9K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Purpose of Job The purpose of this job is to provide accurate and appropriate responses to player questions and concerns regarding Georgia Lottery products and policies and procedures.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
answering questions, communicating with manager and internal customers, operating telecommunications equipment, problem solving, and performing other tasks as assigned by the Player Information Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this job.

Other duties may be required and assigned.
Answers questions from lottery players regarding games, winning numbers, prize amounts, winner claims, and policies and procedures.
Communicates with manager regarding player suggestions and/or complaints.
Promotes the products of the GLC and its integrity.
Operates telecommunications equipment to respond to callers.
Operates computer terminal and related equipment to provide specialized information to players.
Retrieves statistical information from computer.
Sends correspondence to players containing detailed lottery information.
Records requests for written information to correspondence unit for action.
May research player complaints and problems to determine best course of action.
Responds to questions, complaints and requests for information by telephone, in person or by mail from citizens, employees, etc.
Answers telephone, as needed, utilizing accepted format; provides information, advice and guidance; takes and relays messages and/or directs calls to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions High School Diploma (or GED) required, with some customer service or telemarketing experience.
Must be able to work an alternate work schedule.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
