The IT Project Manager, Sr.
plans and coordinates all aspects of IT specific projects from initiation todelivery.
The role of this position is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to agreed upondeadlines and within budget.
The role also includes acquiring resources and coordinating efforts ofteam members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to the establishedproject plan.
This role defines the project's objectives and ensures delivery of quality.
Whatdistinguishes the Senior level is that projects for this role are typically larger and more complex thanfor non-Sr.

Duties/
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities These are typical responsibilities forthis position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.

General Duties o Manages projects that often involve network, server, or software implementation andupgrades, PC deployment and other similar projects.
o Coordinates work done by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining projectrequirements, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments.
o Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes includingresource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing,documentation, training, and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
Strategy & Planning o Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with seniormanagement and stakeholders.
o Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clearfashion.
o Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
o Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
o Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
o Track project milestones and deliverables.
o Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, andtroubleshoot problem areas.
o Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
o Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful andunsuccessful project elements.
o Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Acquisition & Deployment o Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
o Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
o Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnelfrom within the company.
o Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriaterecruitments, if necessary, during project cycle.
Operational Management o Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
o Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
o Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
o Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
o Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
o Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
o Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
o Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them totake positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
o Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Extensive knowledge of concepts, processes, and tools of project management.
Well-developed technical skillswithin project management.
Skill in the use of personal computers and their associated connectivity and networking; and in assessing thestatus of IT systems and identifying underlying causes for failures and disruptions in service, and the methods toremediate these issues.
Ability to plan and carry out virtually all typical assignments within professional area; to train others;to build effective relationships within the City organization.
Education and
Experience:
Minimum Qualifications - Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or business (equivalent professional experience may beconsidered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis).
5 years of specific professional experience such as team or project lead.
o Preferred Qualifications - Education & Experienceo Master's degree in computer science, engineering or business (equivalent professionalexperience may be considered for substitution for the master's degree on an exception basis)with 5-8 years of experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
