Job Summary Serve as benefit program analyst under minimal supervision.
Perform plan management, vendor management, technical support, research & analysis, and ongoing administration & processing functions for the health and welfare and retirement benefit plans.
The position is also responsible for providing excellent customer service to team members organization-wide.
Major Responsibilities Plan Management:
Functions as a liaison between vendors and team members/retirees and advises participants on escalated issues related to eligibility, coverage, and plan design.
Monitors for trends.
Serve in support role with the 401k, 403b, 457b, 457f, and pension plan program management, including audits, testing and reporting.
Maintain plan documentation & communicate with team members and plan administrators as needed.
Develop, improve and maintain standard operating processes in accordance with team standards.
Vendor Management Daily collaboration with vendors (plan administrators) and external benefit consultants.
Collaborate with plan administrators to analyze & resolve participant issues in accordance with plan requirements and best practice.
Client Services:
Primary contact for team members and retiree benefit questions.
Coordinate with internal contacts such as HRIS and Payroll to ensure efficient issue resolution.
Directly resolve participant issues via appropriate communication paths.
Research & Analysis:
Research benefit issues and formulate resolutions by applying best practices and plan knowledge.
Research and analyze data files in support of required plan testing, valuations and audits.
Administration & Processing:
Responsible for ensuring data integrity and data management to support the accuracy of the benefit plans for all team members.
Monitors outbound and inbound vendor files.
Resolves issues and responds to vendor with appropriate corrections.
Assist with all facets of the wellbeing program administration and communication.
Formal Knowledge Bachelors degree preferred.
Related Functional
Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years.
Thorough knowledge of health and welfare plan designs as well as overall knowledge of retirement benefits programs including pension and 401k savings plan, administration requirements and issues.
Legal understanding of ERISA is desired.
Competencies / Skills Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate professionally and clearly in written and verbal communications.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop and manage relationships with various constituencies.
Productivity:
Ability to work proficiently and productively in a team environment to meet department goals and complete assignments on schedule.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work setting using information management systems Ability to recognize and manage confidential plans documents and participant information Ability to analyze complex issues and provide appropriate detailed resolutions.
Knowledge and understanding of the organization, work, functions, policies and procedures involved in the administration of employee retirement and benefit plans, policies, procedure and the related laws and regulations.
Strong analytical and numerical ability.
Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Specialized Training/Knowledge Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software programs.
Familiarity with payroll and benefits software systems (i.
e.
, Businessolver, Workday).
Sound proficiency in all mathematic calculations and reasoning.
Strong understanding of defined contribution, defined benefit, and health & welfare plans Ability to interpret, analyze, and maintain benefit plan documentation Mental / Physical Demands Work is normally performed in a remote interior /office work environment.
Travel required approximately 10% or less.

The starting rate is $58,000 to $62,000.
The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended.
