We're looking for a strategic and results-oriented Shipping Director to lead our operations and ensure seamless delivery of our innovative wireless products to customers worldwide.
As a key member of our leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing our inventory management, driving cost efficiencies, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive shipping strategies and procedures to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee the entire shipping process, from order fulfillment to carrier selection and tracking.
Manage warehouse inventory, including forecasting, receiving, storing, and tracking stock levels.
Negotiate and manage contracts with shipping carriers to secure competitive rates and reliable service.
Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems and technology.
Analyze shipping data to identify and implement process improvements.
Supervise and lead a team of warehouse and shipping personnel.
Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and company policies.
Collaborate effectively with other departments, including Sales, Customer Service, and Finance.
Develop and manage a budget for the shipping department.
Identify and implement new technologies and automation solutions to improve efficiency.
Proactively address shipping issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a shipping or logistics environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts with vendors.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant shipping software.
Bonus Points:
Experience in e-commerce shipping and fulfillment.
Knowledge of international shipping regulations.
Experience with implementing automation solutions in a warehouse environment.
