Special Situations Investment Summer AnalystAtalaya is a privately held, SEC-registered alternative asset manager.
Atalaya primarily focuses on making private credit and special opportunities investments across three asset classes - Specialty Finance, Corporate, and Real Estate.
These investments target either a current yield or an absolute return, seeking to capitalize on the firm's deal sourcing relationships and extensive experience navigating various investment cycles and market conditions.
Founded in 2006, Atalaya is headquartered in New York City and has approximately $10- billion in assets under management and has deployed over $17 billion across 600
investments.
Atalaya is seeking multiple summer analysts for an internship in the summer of 2025 for both our Corporate and Opportunistic (COPPS) and Financial Assets (FA) Investment Teams.
Analysts will assist investment professional teams with research, investment underwriting and asset management.
This internship will provide opportunities to work collaboratively with both senior and junior members of the Investment Team and will expose the Intern to the full range of Atalaya's investment process.
Atalaya has a history of converting strong performing interns to full time employees upon college graduation.
The internship is based in New York City, but COPPS interns will have the option to work from our Dallas office.

Corporate and Opportunistic:
Atalaya's Corporate & Opportunistic Team has an industry agnostic, flexible mandate to invest across sectors, market cycles, and throughout the capital stack.
We seek to provide bespoke structures to our partners to fit their capital needs, throughout a company's lifecycle.
Types of capital solutions include growth-stage financings, restructurings, asset purchases, NAV-based lending, and secondary purchases.
Example transactions include:
Majority equity buyout and turnaround of a Halloween Costume manufacturer emerging from Chapter 11 Bankruptcy $53mm hybrid debt and equity investment in consumer product rollup $60mm senior credit facility with penny warrants to Internet of Things software solutions provider $40mm structured equity investment (40%
equity ownership) in financial services software platform $50mm minority equity investment in multi-billion-dollar European REIT Co-lead investor in strategic $700mm
mezzanine fund recapitalization Atalaya's Financial Assets Team invests in consumer and commercial lending platforms, fintech, insurance, residential real estate, and real asset opportunities in North America, the United Kingdom, and select other international markets across all parts of the capital structure and in both public and private markets.
Typical investment structures include revolving and term credit facilities, single asset and portfolio acquisitions of aviation assets, programmatic asset purchasing arrangements, and structured and common equity solutions.

Minority equity investment in $400mm widebody engine portfolio purchase $258mm asset-backed revolving credit facility to a leading US fintech lender $200mm forward flow purchase arrangement with US consumer credit card originator 120mm senior secured credit facility to UK bridging lender 85mm equity investment into UK based SME neobank $60mm structured equity investment in high growth specialty insurance platform Key
Responsibilities:
Work on multiple transactions simultaneously across all stages of the investment process, including structuring, investment committee, and ongoing relationship management Develop financial models and conduct due diligence when underwriting deals Maintain and publish market data in support of Atalaya's investment analysis Assist with Atalaya's strategic efforts Maintenance, monitoring and analysis of internal metrics and performance data Candidate Qualities:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
