Role OverviewThe Director of Cyber Security is a leader within the Counter Threat Unit s Detection Research team responsible for leading the Detect Tomorrow Team focused on advancing the state of the art in detection for the Taegis Platform and Secureworks native security controls.
This team works closely with Product and Engineering teams from the Detection Platforms, Taegis Agent, Data Ingestion, and others.
Applying expertise in cybersecurity, this leader will own the strategy for evaluating, testing, and extending our detection capabilities with collaboration across the product, services, and marketing.
Role ResponsibilitiesRepresent team research in collaboration with other organizations across Secureworks to include Software engineering, Product Management, Security Operations, and Security and Risk Consulting practices.
Establish a cohesive team culture that embraces new and challenging problems, values diverse opinions and works together to achieve results.
Guide and enable senior members of the Detect Tomorrow team providing ample room for individual and team creativity while maintaining alignment with corporate objectives.
Assess team and individual performance against expected outcomes and provide actionable performance coaching where necessary.
Participate in cross team initiatives as a leader and representative of the research team.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum of 10 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
Security Research, Incident Response, Red Team engagements, or Cyber Risk Management.
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing research or security consulting team.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
