AXA XL provides commercial errors and omission liability insurance for Lawyers, Accountants and Miscellaneous professionalsAs a Commercial E & O Claims Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the team and managing AXA XL s claims for the Commercial E & O books.
You will be a key subject matter expert for AXA XL and will collaborate with other Claims colleagues to implement our strategy on claim activities and best practices.
You will also lead a team of Claim Specialists by focusing on technical claim handling, exceptional customer service, business segment support and driving a performance culture of continuous improvement.
DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?Overseeing colleagues and processes related to coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and resolution of Commercial E & O claims, in accordance with established Claim Department guidelines, service standards, and state regulations.
Collaborating with Practice Leaders in the handling and resolution of the claim files.
Managing audits and ensuring FIC compliance across the team.
Drive analytics and data development for Underwriting and Actuarial through identification and reporting on claim trends.
Collaborating with Underwriting team in connection with claim issues and trends, review of policy/endorsement language, and marketing and business development activities.
Providing superior customer service to policyholders and brokers, and ensuring the same high customer service standards are upheld by all colleagues.
Identifying strategic and tactical needs that can be solved through technology, process improvements, or training.
Maintaining close supervision of vendor management and expense control within the unit.
Managing each team member s performance, development and success.
Accountants and MiscellaneousIn this role, you will report directly to the US Head of Commercial E & O.
QualificationsSHARE your talentWe re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Advanced legal experience in the Insurance Industry or experience working directly with those within the Insurance Industry is required for this role.
A strong background in the following areas of insurance and claims coverage law are highly coveted:
Commercial E & O coverages including Lawyers, Accountants and Miscellaneous professional liability with prior handling of such matters.
Possesses strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
Takes initiative and has the ability to work independently.
Strong knowledge of multi-state insurance coverage law and claim regulations.
High dedication to customer service, including professionalism and diplomacy in broker and insured relations.
Management skills:
Can coach, develop, set expectations, evaluate and hold people accountable for delivering.
Can be a role model setting a high bar for performance, engagement and commitment.
Able to work and lead well under pressure.
Strong communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, presentation and influencing skills.
Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of sophistication.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently juggle numerous concurrent responsibilities.
Ethical approach:
Have an impeccable reputation for ethics, integrity and the highest standards of professionalism.
The ability to travel a minimum of 10-15% of the time is anticipated.
A Bachelor's Degree is required.
A Juris Doctor (J.
D.
) is preferred but not required.
Continuing education or professional designations in insurance underwriting and information privacy including Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), Certified Information Privacy Professional and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) are preferred but not required.

pay range for this position is ($118,500 $233,000).
Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual s skills, experience, and location.
