The Director, Risk Operations will serve as the lead of operations for risk delegated payers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Director, Risk Operations will develop and execute on strategic and ops plans across Optum medical groups and contracted network in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Director, Risk Operations will work collaboratively with operations, analytics, and Physician leadership to ensure effective strategic and operational plans backed by analytics.
This leader will be responsible for identifying areas of opportunity while balancing our need to execute and deliver.
Ensures a positive relationship with internal and external business partners and providers across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Develops strategies to implement organizational mission, vision and values that optimize patient outcomes and financial performance.
This position will work closely with risk operations, network, finance and analytics.
This position will report to the SVP Operations.
If you are located in the Mid-Atlantic region within EST or CST time zone, you ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Multi-payer focusPartner with finance, IT, network, analytics, market operations and clinic operationsWork closely and collaboratively with Optum medical groups and Optum contracted providers Drive analysis and synthesize information/data to develop actionable next steps and achieve operational goalsSupport innovation, best practice and process improvement across Optum risk agreements in region Leads development, coordination and implementation of the regional budget, business plans, audits and operational activitiesMonitors and reports metrics such as quality performance/forecasting, coding accuracy, value based care incentives projections and enacts plans to improve efficiencies and reduce expensesWorks closely with central departments to ensure issues impacting the region involving central departments are resolved effectively and timelyYou ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

years of relevant work experience in healthcare working with multiple payers within risk operationsProven background using data to drive strategyProven to be results-orientedSix Sigma or process improvement orientedProven leadership abilitiesAbility to travel up to 50% Preferred

The salary range for California/Colorado/Connecticut/Hawaii/Nevada/New Jersey/New York/Rhode Island/Washington residents is $122,100 to $234,700 annually.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
