Job Description
Teamcenter Data Migration Engineer
Position Responsibilities
Provide process consulting, aligning processes for Migration and Site Consolidation tools, identify gaps and recommending solutions to close gaps for the solution.
Performing work related to consolidation or migration legacy sources to Teamcenter which may include:
- Providing technical input to Solution Architects regarding solution design in the area of migration.
- Leading migration activities, including analysis, design, solution validation and any required prototyping, with the customer to verify if the migration solution applies to the customer's environment.
- Support project management activities to control scope, cost, schedule and quality for data migration for the of legacy systems data.
- Communicate migration processes, and progress by interacting with the customer to support customer expectations and customer adoption.
- Teamcenter knowledge and experience
- Experience extracting, transforming, and loading data from various source formats including mainframe to Teamcenter.
- Proficient in Object Oriented Analysis/Design and BMIDE
- Scripting using Teamcenter client programs, SQL, unix, perl & DOS batch scripting.
- Experience with Siemens migration and database consolidation tools from Teamcenter to Teamcenter.
- Site Consolidation and Multi-Site
- Experience with IPS data upload or CSV2TCXML utilities.
- Experience with TCXML, PLMXML
- Managing complex data migration tasks and process
- Experience with data validation
- Testing, Validation and Reporting skills
