Senior Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in commercial construction to join an award-winning and highly respected Atlanta area General Contractor.

The Senior Project Manager will deliver superior customer service to our clients while successfully managing commercial construction projects. Primary duties as a Senior Project Manager will include overall planning, as well as leading and executing the role to bring project success in safety, scheduling, profitability, quality and client satisfaction.

Description/Duties:


  • Review & understand the Owner contract language identify key risk areas and manage to them
  • Set the budget & profit goals for the work for management review
  • Lead the process of selecting Subs and Suppliers for each project
  • Lead team meetings to track the project s progress (preconstruction & construction phase)
  • Lead team in creating a Master project schedule
  • Identify key schedule milestones with the team report to management any deviations or anticipation of missed milestones Lead review and approval of submittal and shop drawing process.
  • Safety planning with Superintendent (Site logistics, equipment, unique aspects of the job, ensure proper safety budget is in place)
  • Provide oversight and guidance to team. Accountable for their processes and procedures
  • Communications & reports to Clients & key stakeholders (review contract for specific criteria)
  • Identify possible areas of risk at early signs & report/manage (failing sub, cash flow, missed milestones, staffing issues)
  • Team-building To mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (Erosion control, dust control, noise ordinances, etc)
  • Change Management Facilitate an accurate, timely, organized process for receiving/distributing/estimating/tracking scope changes
  • Ensure timely reporting of cost & time claims to the Client
  • Coordinate and track phases of the work and interim substantial completion deadlines through entire project life
  • Ensure timely updating of the project documentation & records (correspondence, drawings/specs, change documents, as-builts)
  • Create accurate forecasts for revenue and update monthly for reporting


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degrees in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Applicants with relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 7 years experience managing commercial or light industrial construction projects
  • Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
