The Global External Innovation organization will play a key leadership role in the twin pillars of this evolution:
ensuring Daiichi Sankyo leadership's alignment on external-innovation priorities and driving operational excellence across Global Business Development and the company's external-innovation efforts
Reporting to the Vice President - Global External Innovation (GEI), this role will be responsible for helping to create a business analytics and insights function within Global Business Development
This will include developing processes, with associated roles and responsibilities for systematic data review, validation, analytics and decision-support in support of GBD's global activities
This will also include leading data validation, analytics and decision-support efforts related to the evaluation of specific partnering opportunities as reflected in market forecasts, benchmarks, and critical assumptions in assessing the valuation of the opportunities
In addition, this person will lead efforts to define and implement a system for GBD activity data capture, activity reporting, analytics and insights related to value contribution and ROI of specific GBD activities for future optimization
This role will be responsible for proposing KPIs and metrics to track in support of GBD G&Os and helping to develop and implement an effective tracking system
In addition to the above, this role will broadly support the GBD organization's mission, ensuring GBD has the necessary skills, tools, processes and governance required to meet the needs of DS
Responsibilities - Decision Support:
Develop a decision support capability for GBD to support opportunity assessment
Identify and implement the appropriate tools to effectively benchmark potential opportunities, support and validate market forecasts and assumptions
Work with transactions team to support business case development for review by senior leadership and governance committees
- Data Capture:
Responsible for GBD reporting, working with the VP GEIO this role will identify key stakeholder groups across the organization and determine the necessary reporting requirements
This role will then be responsible for identifying and implementing interim and long term data capture solutions to create a consistent global reporting capability
- Reporting:
Generate all reports across GBD working with specific GBD teams to ensure accurate outputs and with VP GEIO and internal communications support to develop reporting materials for distribution
- Collaborate with the other members of GBD on projects of importance
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation
Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university) - Bachelor's Degree required - Master's Degree preferred Experience Qualifications - 7 or More Years 6-8 years of experience in the life-sciences and/or consulting industry
required - 4 or More Years Experience in pharma business analytics, market research, or investing and in generating reports for senior leadership
required - 4 or More Years Experience working across regions in a globally-diverse, multinational company preferred
