Define, design, implement and test software applications using a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to:- Java/J2EE, Oracle PL/SQL, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Ruby, JavaScript/AJAX, HTML and Scripting languages - Assist team members in design discussions and decisions - Perform code and design reviews with other team members - Evaluate new technologies, and assess their benefits to our product stack. - Serve as a mentor and advisor to other team members. - The mentor role can be both formally requested by the individual's manager as well as personally driven when a need or opportunity is observed - Interact with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to define test plans and test data; identify reproduce and document defects; fix and verify defects - Interact daily with Product Management team to clarify requirements or suggest changes during the implementation of the enhancements. - Interact with the User Experience (UX) team to identify, design and implement the user interface portions of the applications. - Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in advanced Java programming, including JSP, Servlet, JDBC and application Servers required - Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate required - Proficiency with HTML and JavaScript/Ajax required - TestNG or other unit testing methodologies preferred - Proficiency with dynamic languages such as Ruby, Groovy etc. preferred - Basic database design required - Stored procedure writing, PL/SQL preferred - Agile and/or Scrum experience desired - Struts or GWT preferred - Agile product development experience preferred - Scrum Master Certification (or similar Agile certification) a plus EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in
