BI Designer / Developer

LEHAN is currently seeking a BI Designer Developer for a client in Atlanta, GA

Our client is open to looking at candidates on a contract to hire or direct hire ( true intent is to bring this role on perm)

The BI Designer/Developer will fill a key role in delivering enterprise information solutions for our client. Focus will be in the areas of enterprise analytics and reporting. The role will collect business information needs, assess data requirements, and deliver solutions using the client's data assets and technologies. The role will interface with business stakeholders, data analysts, and DBAs.
Responsibilities :
Analysis:
Serve as a subject matter expert for the enterprise reporting and analytics solution.
Build expertise in data visualization concepts and Qlikview.
Collaborate with stakeholders to collect information requirements.
Train and support users of the enterprise solution.
Continually look for opportunities to improve data visualizations and information delivery.
Delivery:
Design and develop analytics and reporting solutions using Qlikview.
Develop mapping, design and specification documents that fulfill requirements.
Perform quality assurance tasks - test plan design and execution.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to build Qlikview solutions.
Support production issue resolution.

Critical Skills/Background:
Creative flair - portfolio must highlight creativity.
Ability to visualize data.
Experience creating/developing dashboards.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Qlikview experience preferred but SSRS, Business Objects, OBI will be considered if candidate has T-SQL experience.
Must possess ability to interact, communicate, and collaborate with non-technical Sr Stakeholders.

Qualifications
Expertise of a query language, T-SQL preferred.
Working knowledge of ETL, data modeling, and relational databases.
Knack for looking at data through an inquisitive lens.
Aptitude to learn new tools and apply them in the delivery of information solutions.
Ability to probe and draw out business requirements.
Desire to work collaboratively with stakeholders and teammates.
Capacity to self-progress towards final deliverable given guidelines and direction.
Proficiency in communicating complex concepts to varying audiences.
Aspire to stay current on business and technology trends.
Technical aptitude with a flair for art/creativity.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree.
5 - 10 years of overall business experience.
3 - 5 years focused on information delivery solutions that support business decisions.
Experience with an analytics/reporting solution - Qlikview preferred. Although would consider someone with SSRS, SSAS, BO, OBI or Microstrategy
Experience with user interface design - share portfolio.
Development of dashboards and reports.
Previous roles as data analyst or report designer/developer.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
