Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead

Summary

Functioning as a senior software engineer in an Agile development environment, provides on time, design, software development, implementation and testing of independent systems and product level solutions for our client's software products. Mentors, provides project direction and oversees lower level programmers. Provides project status to management and project management.
Responsibilities
Provides software development implementation for software suite of software product(s).
Responsible for meeting individual and team software development timelines in an Agile development environment.
Acts as a lead in development project planning and reviews and inspections of project deliverables ensuring the deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Provides input in the design and authoring of test plans, automated scripts and test beds of developed systems and product level solutions (unit, integration, and regulatory testing) as directed.
May author and is required to understand technical documentation, including internal product specifications, user guides and third party technologies as required for subsystem and component level development.
Reports and investigates product defects to product management.
Develops a complete understanding of corporate product line and technologies by gaining an expert knowledge of product functionality and end-user operations.
Provides technical support to resolve any technical issues and may author feasibility reports, performance studies and knowledgebase articles.
Contributes to professional development environment by investigating discipline best practices' and adheres to development standards.
Qualifcations
Demonstrated experience and strengths in a variety of the following technologies:
Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Scala, Play Framework, Python, Apache/Cassandra, Cloud computing, Linux, SQL, Postgres
Proven ability to technically lead a small team (3-4 ppl)
Proven ability to deliver to difficult timelines
Proven ability to effective work in an AGILE development environment (including sprint planning, scrum, retrospective, sprint review)
Excellent communicator and documentation skills
Basic architecture in a cloud application is a MAJOR plus
