This
position
starts out as an individual contributor and moves into management. Management experience is not necessary.

Absolute must have's - at least 5 years of experience in a variety of advanced hands-on technical/ modeling techniques logistic regression, general linear and non-linear modeling, survival analysis, clustering and time series. . Must be able to articulate how what you do relates to the business you work in. Technical skills and the ability to communicate (tell a business story) is imperative.

Responsibilities:
In this role you are responsible for the oversight and review of all phases of modeling and analytical projects. Statistical areas include:
Problem design
Model development
Model documentation including plans for implementation and monitoring
Model validation

Qualifications:
See must have's
Master's degree in mathematical discipline required
Experience in independent oversight/validation of data analysis and modeling projects
Experience using statistical software. SAS is preferred.
Experience engaging in quantitative analysis on non-standard and unique business problems.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in finance, banking or insurance preferred but not required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
