Corporate Paralegal
The candidate will work under the direction and supervision of the attorneys in the Corporate department. Will assist attorneys in various aspects of transaction management, entity formation and compliance, document preparation and review (including articles of incorporation, certificates of formation, by-laws and limited liability company agreements). Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate required. Notary Public license preferred. Must have 2-4 years of corporate paralegal experience. Should have experience with corporate filings, closings and research. Must be able to draft corporate resolutions and meeting minutes, prepare closing checklists and closing binders, maintain minute books, and assist with due diligence. Should preferably have knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations relating to corporate law and be familiar with all forms of business entities and limited liability companies. Must have excellent legal research skills including knowledge of electronic databases, communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including knowledge of Excel and Word including the ability to merge files and databases, and the ability to conduct online research of public offices for tax, recording, zoning and other information. Prior corporate paralegal experience is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
