Job Description:
Excellent opportunity to join a leading health care system in Atlanta, GA. As the Director of PFS you will be a key member of the Revenue Cycle team, you will lead and oversee the Patient Financial Services department and be responsible for the quality and efficiency of claims processing and receivables. This will include billing, collections, remittance posting, denials management and customer service. You will have oversight and direct all daily activities and will be responsible for directing, motivating, monitoring, measuring and developing employees.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent work experience
Minimum of nine (9) years progressive patient financial services responsibility
Minimum of six (6) years leadership/management experience in patient financial services in an acute care hospital; with departmental oversight of 80
FTE's
Prior experience must include a significant role in a redesign project and/or management experience working in a highly automated environment
Expert knowledge of government and non-government payer requirements such as Medicare, Medicaid, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Insurance, and Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs)
Experience with facility and pro-fee billing
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proven leadership experience in a collaborative environment which results in driving positive, measurable, operational results
Customer Service oriented
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across the revenue cycle, operations and IT environments to affect positive change
Extensive familiarity with standard patient accounting and ancillary systems required
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) necessaryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
