Optomi, in partnership with Amazon's #1 cloud partner, is seeking a AWS Principle Architect to fulfill a direct-hire opportunity with a client located in Atlanta, GA.
The ideal candidate would be familiar with security best practices for applications, servers, networks, and would have a DevOps background.
As a Principal Architect, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a broad use of Amazon's utility computing web resources.
Responsibilities:
Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
Developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies.
Being a subject matter expert as it relates to customer applications and services.
Ideal Profile:
Possess customer-facing skills that will allow them to represent the client well within a solution provider's environment as well as directly to our customers
Drive discussions with senior personnel within the company and possess a technical background that enables them to easily interact with and give guidance to software developers and architects
Demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
Bringing knowledge and creativity to the position as well as have the discipline to drive results and follow established fundamental processes.
Working knowledge of modern SDLC processes including lean/agile methodologies, devops tooling, devops practices, continuous integration and continuous delivery highly preferred.
Windows Principals Architects should have experience designing solutions with technologies like: MSSQL, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, IIS 7 & 8, Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Hyper-V,etc.
Linux Principal Architects- should have experience designing solutions with multiple distro's (RHEL, CentOS, etc), Apache, MySQL, Tomcat, OpenVZ, VMware,ext.
Experience working in an enterprise cloud environment.
SR. Consulting experience preferred.
Knowledge on Configuration Management tools (Chef, Puppet) and other Cloud Services.
Experience working with C-Level Executives highly preferred.
Strongly represent the technical requirements as they pertains to the business.
