Lead Technology Business Management Analyst
The Lead Technology Business Management Analyst works closely with various IT service owners to lead the process of gathering, designing and advising on the development of key performance measures, service costing, and financial transparency. This role will be responsible for maintaining the current Apptio financial transparency implementation, while supporting the IT Service Costing efforts within the organization, to drive transparency of IT spend. This Analyst will support Cox Enterprises, Cox Media Group, and Cox Talent Acquisition.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- Engage with senior IT leadership to drive adoption and mature reporting to deliver increased value.
- Develop, execute and maintain short and long term TBM Roadmap
- Develop training material and train End Users
- Works with larger IT performance management team to align financial analysis with business objectives.
- Support IT Finance in the development of new costing models and chargebacks.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on the Apptio Model and educates others.
- Performs monthly data loads and audits integrity of data to ensure Apptio model loads are accurate.
- Make adjustments to the Apptio model as the company changes and needs mature.
- Creates and distributes routine and standard reports, analyzes data, provides assessments of trends, identify and explaining variance from goals.
- Support IT Governance around the cost model and ensure divisional models are aligned.
Qualifications
Required Education and
Experience:
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in Financial Analysis, IT Management, IT Service Management
- B.S. degree in Finance, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar
- Specific knowledge and application of IT services and financial management including budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application / infrastructure support
- Experience with Apptio implementation and support
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills are a must
- Experience with Apptio (Apptio experience is a must have), BI tools (OBIEE, Business Objects, etc.), or Database Administration
- Strong to expert skills in data analysis, with the ability to learn new tools quickly
- Self-starter able to come up to speed on complex, difficult concepts with minimal assistance
- Strong financial acumen and attention to detail
- Proven business analysis skills
- Formulates conclusions and provides summary analysis and interpretation for leadership
- Team player with solid communication and presentation skills
- High level knowledge of enterprise IT organizational, business, and technical environments
Preferred Skills:
- ITIL or ITSM knowledge, a plus
