Title : The PMO/Program Manager
Job Summary :
The PMO/Program Manager will be responsible for working in the PMO organization and supporting projects and or programs to ensure clear communication, alignment and resource optimization and prioritization across the IT organization in the International BU. He or she will manage the strategic portfolio, programs and/projects for IT in the region, all through Prioritization, Elaboration, Execution and Performance, establishing portfolio, project and program management disciplines and excellence. The successful candidate will interact with multi-country and cross cultural teams at all levels to senior leadership.
The successful candidate should be able to quickly understand the business and must have excellent communication skills and strong experience in leading complex projects and programs throughout a cross cultural environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage regional programs and/or projects
Management of project budget and business case processes from ideation through approval
Assure proper portfolio/project/program management processes, discipline, operational rigor and rhythm is well established. Specific activities will include:
Deliverables acceptance & gate reviews processes, integrated schedule management, dependency management, communication planning, scope & change control, risks & Issues management, knowledge management, portfolio prioritization management and resource management
Continued follow-up with project teams to perform proper assessment and measurement thought well established KPIs, ensure goals are clear and best practices are being applied
Identify, design and execute enhancements to PMO organization, as well as project, program and portfolio governance, discipline and best practices
Provide expertise and coaching regarding project management when needed
Continuously disseminate and clarify project and program management best practices
Requirements:
A bachelor degree or higher
5-7 plus years of professional work experience with a proven ability to manage complex projects and programs
Well-developed leadership and project/program management capabilities with demonstrated success completing multiple cross-functional and cross-cultural projects
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and/or effectively with diverse, cross cultural teams across multiple geographies and time zones
Ability to negotiate and influence key personnel across multiple business units, while influencing positive change through awareness, understanding, acceptance and engagement
Strong facilitation, oral communication, and written communication skills
Strong business acumen
Attention to detail. Strong at execution
Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to deal with ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment
Ability to deal with conflict and multiple constituencies and manage multiple simultaneous objectives is imperative
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS-Project)
PMP Certification - desired
