Job Summary
Responsible for administration of Workers' Compensation, auto liability and general liability insurance claims. Serve as a point of contact for the claims management program. Work with the Sr. Director Risk Management and the Risk Management team to facilitate internal programs and projects necessary for departmental compliance.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Partners with the 3rd party claims administrator (TPA) to ensure best claims practices are followed from submission to final resolution.
Coordinates communication with involved parties and the risk management team.
Attends quarterly claim file reviews with TPA providing reserve and/or settlement authority up to $20,000.
Maintains the Workers' Compensation programs in monopolistic states and US territories.
Coordinate Cash Call requests from TPA's until final distribution.
Reviews loss runs and data received from TPA's. Generates claims data as needed.
Assists department with daily functions and special projects including responding to internal and external client's requests for information.
Provides assistance with Greenfield projects and Risk Management business continuity plans.

Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
Education and Experience
HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
As a member of our elite risk management team, you will service inquiries from our adjusters, answering claims data and insurance certificate questions. You will serve as the first point of contact to various parties, including claimants and HDS Branch associates. You will manage the SIC, supplier insurance compliance system, accessing data information in the TPA, third party adjuster, claims system.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in risk management, commercial insurance or any other insurance-related area of study or equivalent of work experience.
1-3 years experience in area of responsibility, or comparable education.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft MS Excel.
Knowledge of commercial or personal lines of insurance.
Strong verbal and written communication.
