Provide direct support to bankers and credit underwriters in the growing Southeast middle market franchise. Middle Market Banking serves over 16,000 clients in the U.S. and Canada. Targeted companies are those with annual revenues ranging from $20 million to $500 million. Apply your analytical and research skills to assist bankers identify new clients and underwrite credit opportunities. Join a structured and management supported analyst program that will prepare you to become a successful Banker, Credit Underwriter or Treasury Management Specialist at J.P. Morgan Chase.
What You Can Expect
Work with professionals on a team, drawing from the full spectrum of the firm's resources to develop customized financial solutions to meet client needs.
The Analyst Program is designed to provide you with the foundation needed for a successful career in Commercial Banking. After the successful completion of the program, analysts will move into a Banker Associate, Underwriting Associate or Treasury Sales Associate role.
You will participate in an intensive training program where you will learn about our products and services, clients and business practices. Under the leadership of our lending and training professionals, you will gain in-depth knowledge of accounting, commercial banking, underwriting, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis and credit structuring. The program uses a full range of teaching methods such as lectures, team exercises, exams and case studies.
Job responsibilities are aligned to both banking and credit and may include the following:
Utilizing excellent credit skills to author well thought out and concise analysis of Middle Market relationships using appropriate structure and identifying key risks
Working proactively, in a constructive, diplomatic manner, with both internal and external contacts to keep transactions moving
Working with teammates, partners and other banking professionals to deliver comprehensive solutions to the client that result in a highly satisfied client experience
Preparing pitch books and other presentation materials
Conducting financial analysis of existing clients and prospective clients
About You
An interest in Commercial Banking and in working with people, building relationships and providing the best customer experience possible is essential to this role.
