Presentation Designer

Edelman's Business Development team is always looking for ways to make a unique first impression on prospects and new clients. For the New Business Communication Designer, this means putting presentation and information design skills to work for account teams across the spectrum of Edelman's practices and offerings brand marketing to healthcare to food and beverage to business tech. The Designer will create renderings of programming ideas, find gorgeous images to tell stories, and transform sometimes text-heavy slides into graphic representations of all that we can do as a firm. They'll also counsel teams on what can and can't be done in a given time period, collaborate with other designers and art directors, and command a toolbox of skills to quickly and efficiently transform raw content into beautiful documents and deliverables.
We want someone who stays current on design trends, and can identify and implement the coolest, newest creative ideas so that when we arrive at a pitch, we look great. They must be inclusive in the proposal development process, allowing collaboration and meaningful exchange between design and account teams all the while helping to execute a shared vision that is top-notch.
The New Business Communication Designer works under the VP of Design Strategy for the U.S. (who is a designer, too), out of the Atlanta office, where there is a team of like-minded creatives and collaborators constantly working to evolve how we show up for our new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Work with Remote Business Development teams to produce creative for new business opportunities, including (but not limited to) presentation design, book and brochure design, digital design, infographics, and HTML email formatting
Enhance and format presentations for current clients, working with account teams accordingly
Time-manage effectively to juggle multiple assignments and projects in a fast-paced environment
Be able to communicate thoughts effectively both in writing and in conversation Handle revisions, editing and version control in effective and respectful manner Organize files, imagery and graphic elements in a manner consistent with company standards
BASIC
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of relevant experience building creative for presentations, branded print materials, identities and templates of all kinds.
Bachelor's degree in communication design or related field (advertising, graphic design, media design)
Ability to manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously.
Expert-level skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, with experience in Prezi and Keynote a plus
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Experience interpreting and translating different types of content into varied visual executions A portfolio of presentations, pitch materials, marketing materials or similar
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
