MBA Corporate Relations Manager (MBA Career Coach)
Job Purpose: Provide support to MBA students in preparing for, identifying and pursuing corporate job opportunities. Establish and maintain relations with corporate representatives, other Institute units and alumni for purposes of promoting MBA student recruiting and placement opportunities in internships, permanent employment.
Major
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain relationships with representative of prospective corporate employers in order to promote recruiting of Institute MBA students.
Advise students on career search activities to include job search strategy and company targeting, resume preparation, interview techniques and practice and interactive one-on-one coaching sessions.
Collaborate with other GT organizations and individuals such as alumni, faculty and development representatives to promote job networking and mentoring opportunities.
Maintain databases utilized in placement efforts.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resource or related field.
Work
Experience: Four to five years job related experience
Certifications: N/A
Skills: This job requires skills in effectively interacting with corporate executives, alumni, faculty and staff for the purpose of promoting the recruitment of Institute students. Skills in career advising and counseling are required as are skills in relationship building, sales/marketing, communications and presentation.

Preferred Work
Experience: Eight years of job related experience. Previous experience in management consulting or strategic consulting roles is desirable.
Preferred Certifications: N/A
Preferred Skills: Strong Microsoft Office skills. Ability to coach students interested in pursuing positions with selective consulting firms and internal strategy roles within corporations. Background in delivering cases and assessing performance in consulting interviews would be especially valuable.

This position typically will advise and counsel: students, corporate recruiters and hiring managers. This position will not supervise.
