Key Account Manager


Responsibilities:
Develops and enhances key account relationships that have a major strategic impact on the long-term success of the organization through customer contact, educational programs, and problem resolution.
Works closely with Regional and District Sales Management team in evaluating business conditions and sales trends.
Develop and implement a proactive plan promoting Horizon products, expanding disease state knowledge and understanding that involves service support, with National Director and team members, to enhance market share and increase the quality of service to customers.
Recognize opportunities to communicate and present product information to increase sales activities in the region.
Prepares comprehensive plans, by account, which reflects overall Primary Care strategy
Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.
Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company stakeholders.
Develop productive business relationships with key decision makers, including Providers and office staff.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Education:
BA/BS degree from an accredited 4 year institution
4
years' experience in the pharmaceutical and/or 3
years in medical field in sales or related roles
Demonstrated ability to interact intelligently, and with credibility, with healthcare professionals
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Professional, proactive demeanor
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Education:
MBA or MS degree
Prior experience in Specialty sales, Hospital sales, or Regional Account Management
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
Ability to carry, handle and reach for objects
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, e.g. computer, phones, etc.
Travel Requirements:
Access to transportation to attend various meetings/events held in proximity to the Horizon offices
Requires approximately 60-80% % travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
