Job Description:
At Regions the Senior Credit Officer is responsible for Commercial, Private Wealth, or SBA loan approvals on a local basis. Serves as a resource for those transactions requiring Bank Senior Credit Officer and other related approval including ensuring sound risk management practices. 2nd Line of Defense position reporting to a credit executive in Risk Management. Position reports to the Credit Head in Risk Management. This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Requirements Bachelor's degree Financial services experience Twelve (12) years of commercial / corporate credit or related experience Skills and Competencies Broad knowledge of all credit disciplines and business strategy Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent analytical skills Skilled in applicable computer software, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Moodys, etc Preferences Completion of a formalized Credit Training Program
