As a Manager of Community Technology Programs, you identify and adopt technology-based solutions to ensure Cortland remains the top innovative leader of the multifamily real estate industry, delivering modern homes and amenities to our residents.
Responsibilities
The Role You'll Play
THE RESEARCHER
Research and stay on top of the latest consumer-facing technology trends
Bring clarity to ambiguous areas with thorough investigations that lead to sound solutions
Drive conversations with different stakeholders, ask probing questions, glean relevant information, and assess market technology choices
Use findings to determine a technology's fit and translate the client's complex business requirements into technology solutions
Complete research while networking with internal Cortland customers and external 3rd party technology vendors
Work with the Cortland leadership team to understand business goals, provide subject matter expertise, and communicate powerful insights
THE TECHNOLOGIST
Serve as an in-house expert on multifamily technology, infrastructure, and software for all of Cortland's communities. Items include:
smart home platforms, video and controlled access systems, fiber, wifi, drones, and property management software systems.
Stay up-to-date on technology trends, identifying upcoming technologies and opportunities to support long-term goals, best practices, and develop/maintain standards
Play with technology to understand it and develop a deep knowledge of its functionality
Lead technology experimentation efforts to identify new platforms or devices that have potential scalable impact for Cortland's communities
THE INNOVATOR
Serve as an internal champion for new game-changing product ideas and facilitate the ideas/concepts/projects through the development phases
Launch and actively manage pilots across the organization
Showcase the latest creative uses of technology to the wider company and introduce emerging technologies into the design process
Provide direct leadership to prove new concept desirability, feasibility, and viability
Provide input and guidance around new technology design and innovation
Provide scalable and adaptable solutions in synchronization with changing business needs
Develop program to identify and leverage existing technology skills within our community associates to aid in the deployment and support of technology initiatives.
Qualifications
Your Building Blocks of Success
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant fields

years of advanced problem solving in technical areas including computers, hardware, software, and information systems
Solid ability to serve as a technical lead on new technologies
Savvy intelligence to functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions
Endless curiosity about innovation. You're an early adopter of new technology and trends.
Keen understanding of emerging technology with the ability to tinker and experiment with new systems and devices
Strong communication skills to share your technical expertise, your sharp business insight, and your creative thinking

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
