Role Overview
As an Assistant Superintendent with Cortland Partners, you will:
Enforce safety and legal regulations to ensure a safe job site
Communicate with subcontractors and field staff to ensure adherence to schedules, plans and specifications
Monitor daily activities and compile reports on progress, compliance and obstacles
Inspect completed and in progress structures and sites for safety, compliance and conforming to material and structural need
Assist with Punchlist work
Motivated self-starter with a high level of personal integrity and business ethics who has the ability to work in a team environment
Responsibilities
The Role You'll Play
Responsible for all field activities associated with the project, including helping to implement a Safety/Zero Harm program for the jobsite
Assist in the supervision of all field construction work by subcontractors and self-performed work.
Shares responsibility with project Superintendent for developing the project budget, actively participating in the preconstruction phase, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures.
Manages and mentors other field personnel.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Experience
B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
Demonstrates solid presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills.
Exhibits commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements, and meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office
