The Corporate Accounting department has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Lead in our Atlanta office. This individual will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and is a member of the Corporate Accounting Department.
Responsibilities include providing the Corporate Accounting Department with support on all accounting-related issues as follows:
  • Ensuring proper allocation of payables and internal accounting records.
  • Processing and reconciling monthly accounts including Element, Comdata, rents (US and Canada) and other national vendor accounts.
  • Assist with AP account reconciliations.
  • Research and resolve open credits and stale dated checks.
  • Payment processing including daily and weekly check runs and/or wire/EFT payments for all vendor and intercompany payments.
  • Review selection reports to ensure the accuracy of invoices and payment terms.
  • Researching and resolving accounts payable issues with vendors and internal clients, including proper follow-up.
  • Facilitating the accounts payable team's needs including, training, cross-training, maintaining high standards and ensuring the effective operation of the accounts payable process.
  • Suggesting and implementing improvements to the accounts payable process to support the company's goal of continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by Accounts Payable Manager.

Requirements:
  • Accounting/Business degree preferred. May be substituted with a combination of education and/or experience.
  • Significant experience with fully cycle Accounts Payable process.
  • Familiarity with the intricacies of multi-currency payments and foreign exchange rates.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to senior level MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment meeting multiple deadlines timely and accurately.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize duties effectively.
  • Has developed leadership skills and utilizes skills such as problem solving, decision making and time management.
  • Has developed interpersonal skills, written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
