Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. For the GS-05:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-04 or equivalent level in a training-related administrative and technical support function position. For the GS-06:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 or equivalent level in a training-related administrative and technical support function position. Specialized experience would include one or more of the following areas; maintaining training data or producing course materials. For the GS-07:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-06 or equivalent level in a training-related administrative and technical support function position. Specialized experience would include one or more of the following areas:
training support programs, training activity databases or training-related administrative and technical support functions. Volunteer
Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
