WHAT IS THE WAGE & INVESTMENT DIVISION? The Wage & Investment Division (W&I) serves about 122 million taxpayers who file upwards of 94 million returns each year. Key W&I objectives are to provide high-quality taxpayer assistance, and to enable taxpayers to transact and communicate electronically to file their returns, make payments and receive assistance. W&I partners with private organizations to provide assistance to such disadvantaged groups as elderly and low-income taxpayers. WHAT DOES A MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ANALYST (CONTRACTING OFFICER REPRESENTATIVE (COR)) DO? As a Management Program Analyst you will serve as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR). You will serve as an analyst, evaluator, and advisor to management on the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned program operations. The Management Program Analyst Contracting Officer Representative (COR) serves as liaisons and administrators of contracts. The incumbent also completes requirements and acquires a Level 2 or higher Contracting Officers Representative (COR) certification and serves on one or more business division related contracts. As an Management Program Analyst (COR) you will:
Plan program activities and determine program priorities. Perform operational reviews and program assessments to improve effectiveness, efficiency and improve customer satisfaction Conduct briefings and prepare comprehensive reports to management on assignments, progress, program administration, findings and recommendations. Serve as COR on one or more related contracts Coordinate contractor background investigation activities Collaborate with Contracting Officers and customers on contract solicitations; lead or participate on contract technical proposal evaluation panels; accurately budget and manage contract funding; ensure vendor personnel are trained as necessary and coordinate the phase-in and closeout of contracts. Ensure timely and accurate reporting and evaluation of contract activity and vendor performance Provide authoritative technical advice and seasoned contract interpretations pertaining to the programs and contact specifications, and conduct customer out-reach meetings with high level managers to identify program needs and priorities. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older, or at least 16 years of age or older, and meet one of the following:
(1) have graduated from high school or have a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; (2) have completed a formal vocational training program; or (3) have a statement from school authorities agreeing with the decision to pursue employment rather than continuing your education. GS-13 Level:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes all of the following:
Experience in project assignments that require a range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, sufficient to accomplish projects or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; Experience interpreting and applying procurement and financial laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to contract administration; Experience with management principles and processes to perform project/program management duties to complete, coordinate and integrate project/program objectives and recommendations; and experience to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. executives/senior level management, vendors, contracting officers, program owners, etc.).- The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
