IT Project Manager (INFOSEC)

As a IT Project Manager (INFOSEC) you will:
Provide overall planning, coordination, and direction in the establishment and accomplishment of project goals. Plan the overall project, develop and execute the project's budget, review and monitor work assignments, coordinate activities with Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) management and technical staff and report progress to CDC SES-level management. Coordinate resolution to problems and assess project performance. Develop and apply technical policy to include standards, protocols, and data administration techniques to effectively integrate and implement information systems. Analyze information security systems and efforts to ensure compliance to current government standards, guidelines and regulations. Serve as project officer on IT service contracts and provide operational management of contracts. Prepare requirements and manage the acquisition process for CDC solicitations for the procurement of integrated IT and communications systems and services. Administer, analyze, and advise on recommendations to Procurement & Grants Office (PGO) regarding contracts for the procurement of information security services and products for the agency. Participate in the review, evaluation and selection of proposals and recommendations. Attend meetings with management, systems analysts, and project managers to promote awareness of security issues; provide advice and information on system security; and to ensure sound security principles are reflected in program goals and policies. Qualifications:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level of difficulty and responsibility in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph. Specialized experience is experience at or equivalent to which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience in planning, organizing and directing Information Technology (IT) projects to include:
establishing project goals and objectives, setting priorities, resolving problems, establishing information systems security protocols, and have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies:
Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
