5486How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)The Consultant will work with field teams on consulting with corporate and agency customers about OBT implementations, providing guidance and optimizing the value of their Delta corporate agreement.
The position will work closely with Sales Development, Field Sales, Distribution, and Revenue Management.
The Consultant will need to collaborate with Distribution and Revenue Management to diagnose customer issues arising from Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and OBT displays.
This person will ensure that strategies bring corporate customers greater consistency, transparency, and choice.
The successful candidate should have solid communication and relationship management skills in order to build and maintain relationships with external companies and other internal departments within Delta to ensure top strategies are appropriately prioritized.
Travel will be required.
This position is based in US48 and will report to Courtney Swander, Manager Sales Development.
Candidate will develop both strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety & well-being.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
3-5 years equivalent or similar work experience is required
Successful candidate should possess superior leadership, analytical, critical thinking, decision making, and organization skills
Working knowledge of booking tools like:
Concur Travel, GetThere, Deem, AmTrav, KDS and/or Cytric
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to make clear and concise presentations to senior management and external organizations
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under aggressive deadlines
Exceptional consensus-building, diplomacy and motivational skills are required
Must be solution-oriented, multi-task capable and have demonstrated the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment
Demonstrates initiative and self-directs work
Highly proficient PC skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point are required
Must be willing and able to travel
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position
Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
High School diploma, GED or High School EquivalencyWhat will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Prior experience with a Travel Management Company or as a corporate buyer is preferred
Applied knowledge in Sales, Revenue Management, and distribution is preferred
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies, programs and processes is highly desirable
Bachelor's degree is preferred
Working knowledge of Hyperion, Tableau or similar business intelligence tools is preferredDelta Air Lines, Inc.
