Regional Foodservice Sales Manager (Mid-Atlantic)

Summary

The Regional Manager of Foodservice Sales will have a primary focus on Foodservice sales & activity support with key Niman Ranch distributors, and foodservice end users. Duties will include:
working in market with local distributor teams/sales reps, working closely with the Sales Director to build sales and brand loyalty and assisting with sales & marketing key relationships.
The individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining customer relationships with assigned key customers. Enhances and supports partner distributor sales by working directly with end users, distributor sales reps, food shows, sever trainings.

This is a home based position and this person will sit on the East Coast (ideally around Atlanta, GA).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Sell complete line of fresh Pork, Beef & Lamb, prepared and charcuterie items into all qualified Foodservice establishments in the region
  2. Secure new placements within existing as well as new customers
  3. Helps Sales Directors with special promotions; conducting and coordinating demos/selling events, distributor and end-user training, checking daily special promotions, observing customer reaction to special promotions; forwarding observations to management.
  4. Provides clear verbal and written information by reporting growth, expansion, or changes within customers in assigned territory.
  5. Maintains quality standards/results by following an enforcing standards.
  6. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  7. Enhances merchandising and organization reputation by accepting ownership/responsibility for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  8. Support region's overall growth by assisting with retail calls, distributor events and other sales support functions in the territory
  9. Determines call schedule by reviewing priorities with Senior Sales Director, discussing special instructions, product promotions, new products and price changes.
  10. Maintains customer relationships by visiting with end users - chefs, restaurant owners, Food & Beverage managers; answering their questions; responding to special requests, describing product features
  11. Provide merchandising support to key customers with branding on menus, server trainings, food shows, Chef dinners.
  12. Maintain contact with Sales Director and Salesforce CRM communication of programs to assure success.
  13. Ensure prompt and equitable disposition of customer complaints or problems.
  14. Completes call report daily and weekly with Easter Sales Director oversight.
  15. Works directly with Sales Directors to set priorities that will drive velocity of key items with promotions, events and other sales and marketing tools on an on-going basis.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration. 8-10 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience.
  • Basic meat knowledge a must.
  • Must have a solid understanding of customer-focused and fact-based selling, including syndicated data.
  • Must be reliable self-starter & determined to win
  • Must be located near a major airport hub.
  • Must have a valid driver s license and a vehicle for traveling. Monthly car allowance provided.
  • Proficiency in written & verbal communication
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • CRM expertise, preferably with Salesforce
  • Willing to travel 50%-75%, often daily, within territory with often early morning or late evenings required; overnight trips and some weekends; and travel quarterly to team meetings outside of region.

Experience Preferred

  • Butchery experience preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
