To Whom it May Concern,

I am a recent graduate from Armstrong Atlantic State University. I received a Cell and Molecular Biology Bachelors of Science degree with a minor in Political Science. I have currently moved to the Atlanta area. I would love to pursue my major in the field of pharmaceuticals. I believe with my knowledge of biological sciences I would be a great pharmaceutical representative. I would love to have the opportunity to begin my career in pharmaceutical sales.

While at Armstrong, I have been a Student Lab Technician in the biology labs for the past two years. I have also been a Research Student in various fields of biology for three years. From these work experiences, I have gained knowledge in biology and chemistry, specifically how to make various medias, practice aseptic technique, manage stock cultures, and make various reagents and stains. In addition, I also am comfortable performing biological assays, PCRs, gel electrophoresis, cell culture, various cellular responses to medicines, and protein analysis. As a result of my research efforts, I have been accepted to present at three ASM conferences in the past two years.

My research experience included studying human mammalian cells and their cellular response to specific pathogens. We specifically studied Squamous Cell Carcinoma cells and their response to Candida albicans. We exposed these cells to varying levels of Mannan and LPS. In turn then we studied the cytokines that were activated by these pathogens. We also studied several cox inhibitors; indomethacin and celecoxib. I studied in great detail the cell’s response to inflammation. I have a great knowledge of pharmaceuticals and the biological and chemical pathways associated with them.

In addition to my experience working in labs, I have worked as a Sales Associate at American Eagle Outfitters since 2007. This has taught me how to work well in a team environment, how to take direction and criticism, and to be patient with others. Furthermore, my skills related to organization and time management have been well developed as I attended classes full-time and worked approximately 16 hours each week. Finally, I feel confident in my skills related to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint which have been developed through my research work.

I would sincerely appreciate an opportunity to work for your company and to continue gaining insights into the fields of chemistry and biology. Thank you for your time and consideration of my application materials. I look forward to an opportunity to discuss with you further my qualifications and the position.

Sincerely,

Morgan Greenlee

Don't Be Fooled

  • When selling, do not put your home address in your ad.
  • To avoid scams, buy and sell with people you can meet locally, in person.
  • When meeting with someone you don't know, meet in a public place. If that's not possible, have a buddy with you. Also, carry a cell phone; if you feel unsafe, you can call a trusted friend, and stay on the line.
  • Never give out financial or private information like account numbers, PayPal login, or social security number.
  • If an offer sounds too good to be true, it is. Walk away!
