Canoe...1/2...end section...home / yard decor....local pick for sale in Atlanta, GA

1 of 1
This listing if for a old, very well used end section of a OCA Blue Hole canoe that was on the losing end of a tree that fell and split the boat in half. There are old patches, on the hull and the inside has some residue remaining from where we had knee pads or D-rings glued down. I considered scraping and sanding it, then painting to give it a better appearance but then figured it might be better for the new owner to apply a color they would prefer. The other half is in North Carolina at a friends house where they placed it over their mailbox and added a shelf for larger packages. I put this section over a mailbox for the picture shown, but the split rail fence is sort of in the way. Likewise, this could also be used as home decor inside or on a deck or patio, and by adding shelves, made into a bookcase for a more realistic appearance rather than a store bought fake canoe. I had it standing in our yard for several years as a monolith as a sort of joke, and it sure made for some interesting comments and conversation.Yes, some people thought the rest was buried. This section stands 84" in height and is 34" wide. The tape measure and yard stick are not included. Actually, that isn't a yard stick, as it is 60" in length. This is one of three hull sections we are listing and should someone be interested in purchasing all three, I am sure we can come to an agreement on a reduced price. Local pick up only ...... we live near Perimeter Mall, close to Ga. 400 and I-285. Payment needs to be through ebay within 24 hours. Currently we are listing a lot of miscellaneous things and will be adding more. Due to the size of this item, we are not offering shipping as it would cost too much.
