Vehicle Description Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1977 GMC Eleganza II 26-foot Motorhome.
GM made these comfortable and distinctive motorhomes for five years only, from 1973 to 1978 - an innovative front-wheel-drive configuration allowed for a low and flat deck (which makes for very gracious living accommodations).
And it's still the only recreational vehicle of this size made before or since by a major automobile manufacturer.
Powered by a 455 cubic inch V8 mated to an automatic transmission, and featuring tanks for gasoline, propane, potable water and waste water, plus a dual-mode refrigerator, propane stove, kitchen sink, full head with toilet, shower and sink, 6,000 watt Onan generator, power inverter, A/C and heat.
This Eleganza has been under present ownership since 2020 and has reliably taken its family on several cross-country adventures.
Recent service within the last two years has included an oil change, fuel filter, new house and engine starting batteries, and a new city water junction box.
The engine was rebuilt under prior ownership in 2019 at 104k miles, and a new roof A/C and heat unit was installed in 2013.
The generator has 522 hours on the meter.
The interior, including the head, galley and living spaces are remarkably clean, and are free of grime or off-odors.
This motorhome runs and drives well and is ready for your next adventure.
