WP0AC2991TS375669 When asked what car poster featured on their bedroom walls, many of a certain generation may remember a Countach 5000 QV, Testarossa, or 911 Slantnose Turbo, but a decade later things had changed.
By the mid-1990s Porsche's advertising, specifically, their statement posters began to dominate bedroom wall real estate, and chief among them was a poster featuring an Arena Red Metallic 911 Turbo speeding through a forest and beneath it, the statement, Kills bugs fast.
Nailing the automotive graphic arts zeitgeist unlike anything before it, Arena Red Metallic quickly became THE color and a 993 Turbo THE 1990s sports car.
Combine the two together and it's the automotive equivalent of a lightning strike.
Of course, color and model type are only part of the story.
The final air-cooled 911 Turbo made ample use of the technology pioneered on the legendary 959 supercar.
The new 993-generation 911 Turbo would be the first to feature all-wheel drive with hollow spoke wheels, twin-turbocharging, a six-speed transmission, and ABS brakes as part of the technological transfer.
According to the notoriously conservative Porsche Press Department, 0-60 miles per hour would take 4.
4 seconds thanks to the new all-wheel drive system, although many period magazine reports pegged it at 3.
9, with only the rarified Turbo S being faster.
With widened rear wheel arches and fixed whale tail rear wing housing the intercooler, the new 911 Turbo offered attractive, yet purposeful exterior styling.
Produced in October 1995 as a 1996 model, this 911 Turbo was sold by Paul Miller Porsche, Parsippany, New Jersey 6 December 1995 with a sticker price well into the six-figure range.
In addition to optional Arena Red Metallic paint, the options list includes some well-selected, coordinated features within its Cashmere Beige leather interior, including heated front seats, supple leather front and rear seats, cruise control, and an electric sliding sun/moonroof.
Additionally, the interior features three X-code Exclusive options including Light Rootwood Shifter (XC8), Light Rootwood Parking Brake Lever (X31), and Light Rootwood Door Trim (X86).
Well enjoyed and recently serviced, it is sold with its owner's manuals, original service book, and a clean CARFAX report recording that Turbo was first registered in New Jersey where it still resides today.

Finally, it includes original delivery items such as its toolkit, jack, and air pump.
