Includes Gibson Hardshell Case. $2899 When Greg Rich left Gibson he created Rich and Taylor which this is their Classic Model. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia. ALL OF OUR SALES INCLUDE A 7 DAY FULL SATISFACTION GUARANTEE Description Greg Rich and Mark Taylor formed Rich and Taylor not long after Greg left Gibson. These banjos are exceptional and are considered by some to be superior to Gibson Banjos made during the same time. This is a Classic model and has a lot of bluegrass bang, pop, volume and tone.This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a mahogany neck and resonator. The hardware is nickel and includes a one piece flange. This is all original except for an aftermarket Presto style tailpiece. The original tailpiece was a Presto so it is identical. The tone ring is an original Tennessee 20 tone ring. This has a rosewood fretboard with some beautiful inlay and more inlay on the face of the headstock. The Pearl in the R of the R&T logo on the headstock is amber pearl which is incredible.This is a phenomenal banjo and Rich and Taylor banjos are scarce. Greg Rich is being inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame this year which is making these harder to find. This also has a Gibson Hardshell Case. Condition This banjo is in fantastic shape and also has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. All the finish has been waxed and looks great. The resonator is very clean. The hardware has been disassembled and buffed and it shines. The fretboard and frets are in great shape with little sign of use. There once was a 5th string capo so it has 2 pin sized holes on the side of the neck from that. Those effect nothing and are almost invisible. It looks like this also had 2 spikes once which are no longer there. We can put spikes or a 5th string capo on if you would like.This is in great shape, really a stunning banjo with an original Gibson Case. The case has some wear on the outside but not much and is great otherwise. Set Up This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta. This has a new Huber Frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial. The bridge is a Grover Bridge and is set with correct intonation. The string height feels great and that is fully adjustable.
