For Sale: 1987 GMC Caballero in Atlanta, Georgia for sale in Atlanta, GA

1 of 43
Vehicle Description Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1987 GMC Caballero.
Finished in two-tone black and silver over a black interior, this example presents to a nice driver standard inside and out.
Solid floors, rockers and bed with no known rust issues.
After Ford abandoned the Ranchero in 1979, the El Camino and GMC's nearly identical badge-engineered version, the Caballero, were the only game in town throughout the 1980s (1987 was the final year of production).
And few cars evoke more '80s nostalgia than this.
Interior is tidy with good dash, door panels, carpet, headliner and seat upholstery.
A/C has been converted to R134a and is blowing cold.
Modern AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input.
Stock performance was pretty anemic coming out of the malaise era, but this Caballero can really run thanks to a 350 cubic inch crate engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Performance is sprightly, and few things sound better than the intake note of a small-block Chevy fed by a QuadraJet four-barrel carb.
White the ute has enjoyed enduring popularity in Australia, only the Ranchero and El Camino have occupied this segment in the U.
S.
You might consider it the original crossover - a vehicle with the comfort and driving dynamics of a car, but the utility of a pickup truck bed.
